Row 1: 6sc into the 1st ch (6)
Row 2: 2sc into each st (12)
Row 3: *(2sc into next st, 1 sc), repeat from * (12)

Row 5-10: sc into each (24)
To work the Brim:
Row 11: 5 sc, 2sc into the next st, 3 sc, 2sc into the next st, 3 sc, slst into the next 2sts
